Travel & Logistics

Getting to Oxford.

Here are the essentials for getting to the venue and making a trip of it.

Public transport

Travelling by Train

The nearest train station is Oxford Station, which is a 20-minute walk from the venue and is a lovely walk along the Thames Path the whole way. To get on the Thames Path from the station, head North via Rewley Road and the Rewley Road Swing Bridge, and head under the railway line. The Medley Walled Garden can be accessed from the Thames Path.

If you would like to get a taxi for part of this journey, take one to Port Meadow South Car Park then continue your journey on foot across the meadow.

On foot or by bike

Travelling under your own steam

Walk/cycle across the meadow.

Taxis

Travelling by taxi

There are several taxi companies in Oxford, all of which have apps to order on-demand or can be pre-booked via app or telephone.

WARNING: the Oxford Rail Bridge is STILL (!!!) closed to vehicles, so if you want to avoid an eye-watering taxi fare, there are two options:

  1. Grab a taxi to the Port Meadow South Car Park, then walk across the meadow (7 minutes). Likely cheapest but more walking.
  2. Walk west from the train station, across the bridge and to Osney Island. Then, grab a taxi from there. More expensive but less walking.

Car

Travelling by Car

Navigate to "Medley Manor Farm, Oxford, OX2 0NJ".

There is parking available on-site for guests with 40 spaces. It's in a field so bear in mind it might be a bit bumpy.

Accommodation

Hotel and stay recommendations.

There are lots of hotels and airbnbs in the surrounding area. The nearest budget option is probably the Premier Inn in Oxford Botley or in Oxford City Centre. If you are struggling to find something suitable, let us know and we can see if there is anyone in Oxford with a spare room we can pair you up with.
